STEAM Challenge: Can you create your own version of your favorite sport for the Summer Olympics?
This year golf is being brought back as an Olympic sport. Originally golf was part of the summer games in 1900 and 1904 has not been included in the summer games since then…. until now.
We chose to create our own version of Golf for this challenge. Due to extreme heat and rain, we decided to create our golf course inside.
Can you design a 3 hole golf course?
Materials: Foam Cups, Plastic Putter, Plastic Golf Ball
First, we cut a hole in the foam cups so it would represent the hole.
Next, we laid out the course and used a sheet of green paper to signify the starting green.
Then it was time to golf!
Remember the activity is for your child to create their version of the sport. Let them led the activity as you help support their thinking.
