Three easy ways to stylize and personalize your notebooks! Create your own diy cute school supplies and let your notebook stand out. In school, I always would doodle on my notebooks but what better way than to design a personalized cover for them. What I love most about this project is if you grow tired of your design you can always redo the cover or update it because it is so simple to do. Read below for all three tutorials.
SELFIE NOTEBOOK
Materials:
Camera Phone
Computer
Printer
Glue
Scissors
Tutorial
Step 1: Take selfie photo.
Step 2: Play with photo editing software and edit the photo until satisfied. Add text if you desire. I used the brightness and contrast to give the photo a muted black and white look.
Step 3: Print the photo on to 8.5 x 11 size paper.
Step 4: Glue the photo to the cover of the notebook.
Step 5: Trim the edges of your notebook with scissors.
COLORED STRIPED NOTEBOOK
Materials:
Composition Notebook
Colored Duct Tape or Washi Tape
Permanent Markers
Scissors
Tutorial
Step 1: Cover with the cover of the notebook with different colors or strips of tape. Don’t be afraid to overlap colors to create a variety of widths.
Step 2: Trim edges of the notebook with scissors.
Step 3: Add pattern with permanent markers. I found the metallic permanent markers worked well.
POCKET NOTEBOOK
Materials:
CD/DVD Plastic Sleeve
Wrapping Paper or Scrapbook Paper
Glue
Scissors
Tape
Tutorial
Step 1: Glue wrapping paper or scrapbook paper to the cover of the notebook.
Step 2: Trim edges with scissors
Step 3: Tape the CD/DVD sleeve to the front cover of the notebook.
Step 4: Insert favorite photo or paper in the pocket.
Have fun while designing your notebook covers, let your personality show! Try coordinating with your other school supplies.
