There are many different types of lines.
- Straight
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Thick
- Thin
- Diagonal
- Broken
- Dotted
- Curved
- Wavy
- Zig Zag
- Spiral
- Squiggly
Try mix -n-matching the different types of lines to create unique combinations that add variety into your doodles.
Line Doodles
Materials:
- Drawing Tool of your Choice (pencil, pen, marker, etc.)
- Printable Worksheet #1
- Printable Worksheet #2
Use the practice sheet #1 to experiment doodling with the different types of lines.
Use practice sheet #2 to experiment combining the different types of lines.
Be creative and most important have fun!
If you are working with younger children (like 5 years old and younger) let them doodle whatever they want! Encourage them to fill the squares with their own design.
Doodle Tic Tac Toe
Put your doodling skills to the test by playing tic tac toe with doodles!
Materials:
- Two different colors or pencil, marker or crayon
- Printable Worksheet #3
Each person selects a color.
Fill your square on the tic tac toe worksheet with different doodles.
Remember, there is no wrong way to create a doodle!
Try using the different types lines to fill your square. To win the game you must doodle three squares in a row!
