My name is Jamie and I am not a gardener.
I have yet to keep a plant alive….yes, seriously…no plant has made it.
I am on my third summer of trying to keep herbs….yes, herbs… but I really think they will make it this year because I have put my 4 year old in charge of watering them.
Since, I am including the children in our attempt to grow something, I thought it would be fun to make our own diy garden markers. These are super easy to make and you probably already have the materials you need. My children colored the spoons and I did the labeling. I totally think having cute markers will help us keep the plants alive.
Materials:
White Plastic Spoons
Permanent Markers
Tutorial:
Step 1: Decorate plastic spoon with permanent markers.
Step 2: Label with plant name.
Step 3: Insert in dirt next to the plant.
What tips do you have for us in our beginning attempts to garden?
