Just like any muscle, the brain needs exercise to stay sharp!
It has proven to be beneficial for children of all ages (and us too) to challenge our creative “right” side of the brain.
In order for a healthy brain to develop children need to “workout” each side of the brain.
I love to find inspiration for our challenges in unique ways and relate to what my child is interested in.
With Easter coming up very soon, I decided to hide the creative drawing prompts in plastic Easter eggs.
This simple step added a bit of mystery to the prompts and kept my children engaged and curious.
As a bonus, you can also use the creative prompt to draw directly on the egg!
Read below for our whole tutorial.
Materials: Plastic Eggs, Free Creative Drawing Prompts, Favorite drawing materials, White paper and Printer
Step 1: Print out the creative drawing prompts.
Step 2: Cut out and fold the creative prompts. Place the prompts inside the eggs.
Step 3: Have your child select an egg and use the prompt hidden inside to spark a creative drawing!
Older Child Activity Modification: Try drawing directly on the plastic egg with permanent markers.
