Take flight and blast off into outer space with an easy art project We had so much fun with M-Woww’s balloon take off that we had to give Lil B a turn too. When discussing things that fly, Lil B knew he wanted to create a rocket that was lifting him up and blasting him to outer space. Read below for our tutorial.
Materials:
Digital Camera
Black Paper
White Paint
Old Toothbrush
Colored Construction Paper
Scissors
Glue
Red and Yellow Tissue Paper (optional)
Tutorial:
Step 1: Adult help needed for the first step, take a photo of your child laying on the ground, posed as if they were blasting off into space.
Step 2: Print out the photo and cut out child from the picture.
Step 3: Create the space background by using the old toothbrush to splatter white paint on the black paper. Let dry.
Step 4: Design your rocket with the colored paper. Arrange the elements on the page and when you are satisfied with the layout, glue them on your black background paper. Lil B also added red and yellow tissue paper for the rocket flames.
Step 5: For a final touch, Lil B added yellow construction paper to create the sun. Add your own outer space details to your artwork.
