Do you have a favorite family photo that you want to use for your Christmas card but it isn’t Christmas-y… like a photo from your summer vacation or the beach? We will show in the tutorial below how to create a DIY designer looking Holiday card in less than 5 minutes!
Materials
Digital Photo
Computer
Photo Editing Software (we will share what we use and it is FREE)
Tutorial
Step 1: Select your photograph
Step 2: Upload or insert to your favorite photo editor. We use the website pic monkey. There is a free and paid version.
Step 3: Once you have your photograph opened in Pic Monkey, click on the bottom left icon for Themes. At the time of writing this, the icon looks like a snowflake.
Step 4: Click on the theme, Santa Land. Choose what you would like to add to your photograph. In our example we added a Kringle Cap and Season’s Message. You can add as much as you want but remember less is more when designing!
Step 5: Once you are satisfied with your design click on save and you can download your photo to your computer. From there you can use your favorite photo printing site to print.
Get the Kids Involved!
Let your child turn a photograph of their self into santa or an elf! Have fun. Your child may design their own holiday card and hand out to family and friends or just create a fun photo to display during the holidays.
