Halloween Crafts for Kids
If you are a fan of our Facebook page you already know that I love my cup of coffee in the morning. I only have one cup (ok, sometimes 2) but I do look forward to it! I use the Keurig System and love how simple it is to use (this post is not sponsored Keurig but if they want to send me something, I will take it). However, you do end up with a lot of empty plastic K-Cups. This project is one way to reuse and upcycle the K-cup into a glowing lantern for Halloween. It is easy enough for the kids to make with only a few basic supplies.
Materials:
cardboard tube (optional)
Tutorial:
Step 1: Empty out the k-cup. Dump out the coffee and tear out the filter. It is easy to do, just be sure to empty it over a garbage can. Wash out the K-cup and dry.
Step 2: Turn the K-Cup upside down and use a permanent marker to draw your design. We decided to do a jack-o-lantern face and a scared ghost face.
Step 3: Place the K-Cup over a LED light and illuminate!
Design Tip: We placed the K-Cup on a piece of cardboard tube so that it was raised to the same level as the LED light providing it with the most light.
