Easy Marbled Paper Lantern

If you followed our tutorial for an easy way to marble your own paper, here is an easy paper craft  to use your marbled paper! I love using LED votive lights. They are a kid friendly way to work with light and illumination. Lil B and M-Woww were so fascinated with our recycled K-Cup lanterns we decided to create some more. Read below for our easy marbled paper lantern.

Materials:

Marbled Paper (Click here to see our post on how to make your own)

Oil (We used coconut oil but olive oil or vegetable oil works too)

Paintbrush

Black Paper

Stapler

Scissors

LED votive lights

Tutorial:

Step 1: Create your marble paper and let dry. Once the paper is dry coat use the paintbrush to coat the backside with a layer of oil. Let dry.

Step 2: Cut your paper to size.

Step 3: Staple the paper to create a cylinder {great math word}. Be sure to make the cylinder wide enough to slide over your LED votive.

Step 4: Add a strip of black paper to the top and bottom to give the lantern a finished edge. Staple to your marble paper cylinder.

Step 5: Turn on your LED light and let it glow!
