After School Art with Hand Made Kids Art is a weekly video series that focuses on fun and easy art projects for kids. With basic art supplies you can create your own works of art! Materials:
Ruler
Pencil
Marker
White Paper
Tutorial:
Step 1: Using a ruler draw 5-7 vertical or diagonal lines.
Step 2: Draw 3 shapes.
Step 3: Look at how the lines and shapes divide the paper into different shapes or sections. Select one color marker and color in every other section like a checkerboard. To add a pop of color, select a second color and go back in color in all the white shapes. Watch our video tutorial for a full demonstration.
ART VOCABULARY:
Vertical Line – a line that goes straight up and down
Diagonal Line– a line that slants or tilts
Shape – an enclosed space, limited to two dimensions (length and width)
