It was the night before Christmas and all through the house….
For me, it wouldn’t be Christmas without reading the classic story, The Night Before Christmas. Growing up my grandfather would read it to me and my sister every Christmas eve, as we would be excited for the arrival of Santa.
I feel blessed to continue this tradition with my own children.
Throughout the years, we have owned several copies of the holiday story.
This new version of the story has the classic words of Clement Clarke Moore combined with fun and whimsical illustrations by Harriet Muncaster.
My two young readers enjoyed the mixed media illustrations that provide a fun look to the classic story. Photographs combined with collage provides a new updated look to the holiday favorite.
Inspired by the illustrations of the book we created our own mixed media creative drawing challenge.
