Recycled Paper Snowflakes

Did  you know that if you look on the inside of an envelope you may find a great pattern? Next time you open a bill take a look at the inside of the envelope. We collected some of our favorite designs and recycled them into snowflakes.

Materials:
Recycled Envelopes
Scissors
Glue

Step 1: Collect paper envelopes. Go through your mail and/or bills and collect different patterned envelopes. Carefully, unfold envelope and cut a square from the paper.

Step 2: Cut Snowflakes.  Fold your square in half on the diagonal. Repeat the diagonal fold one more time. Along the edges of your folded paper cut out different shapes. Carefully, unfold to reveal snowflake

Step 3: Glue Snowflakes. You can glue your snowflakes to a piece of construction paper or use our bubble wrap snow technique for your background.
