3 Easy Steps: Dinosaur Sensory Bin

I can’t believe I waited so long to create these sensory activities for my children. Lil B  (4) and M-Woww (2) love playing and making up their own stories with the materials in the bin. I love the creative play opportunity the bin provides helping develop their creative thinking skills. We have been making a new bin each week and keeps both children actively engaged, which is helpful while I attend to our newborn. Please note adult supervision is recommended and if you child still puts objects in their mouth you may wish to wait until they are older before you introduce this activity. This bin was super easy to make. We recycled the rice and dried beans from the garden sensory bin.  I added a bag of decorative rocks (from the dollar store), blue tissue paper (pretend water) and of course, the dinosaurs. Later in the week we did add a small cardboard box to be a pretend cave.

I love the simple sensory bins – and those are usually the favorites too!

Simple is a lot of times better! I kept it simple to help encourage creative thinking and also made it easy for me, win-win! 🙂

Thank you! We recycled the rice from our earlier garden sensory bin.
