Fun in the Sun Friday: Rainy Day Edition
So, Friday is suppose to be about movement and play outside in our Hand Made Summer Fun series. However, when the weather doesn’t cooperate you have to change your plan. We still had balloons leftover from M-Woww’s birthday earlier in the week and we came up with a math twist on a classic game for some indoor movement. Paper plate paddle ball is a great indoor game for a rainy afternoon. We added to the game by incorporating our preschool math counting skills with it. Our goal was to hit the balloon 100 times without the balloon touching the ground. We attempted several times but our highest score was 89. We definitily will be attempting this one again to get to 100. To read the details of our game scroll below.

Tutorial:
Step 1: Create your paddle by taping a craft stick to a paper plate.
Step 2: Hit the balloon back and forth with a partner counting each time you hit the balloon.
Step 3: See how high you can count before the balloon touches the floor.
