Looking for a fall art project to try at home or in the classroom? These 12 projects are full of color, texture, painting, drawing and experimenting.
But here’s our favorite way to use an art tutorial: don’t make the example the goal.
Let it be the starting point.
Show kids the materials or technique, then give them room to make choices of their own. Change the colors. Try another material. Add an idea. Make it weird. See what happens.
Enough structure to get started. Enough space for kids to create.
Pick one that looks fun and let them take it from there.
